There are numerous reports about Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) on the internet to study. We encourage you to do your own research to have your questions answered. However, we pledge not to use fear tactics about unproven allegations about the effects of electro-magnetic fields, and we will not exploit the issue as a way to gain support for our cause, nor to panic our neighbors.
Watch our interview with Washington State's Top Radiation Expert "The Truth On EMF": HERE
Below are some links provided to us by the Clark County Health Department Epidemiologist, who in a message to us wrote:
"(EMF) is often an area of concern in the public; however, there is no scientific evidence of an association between EMF from power lines and cancer. The studies that have shown weak associations between EMF and childhood leukemia have had methodological problems. Laboratory studies have not established a plausible biological mechanism for health effects from EMF exposures. 'We' are not aware of any investigations of cancer clusters associated with power lines in Clark County."

|A study recently published in the British journal The Lancet (Vol. 354) found no association between electromagnetic fields (EMF) and childhood cancer.|

Electric fields are created by differences in voltage: the higher the voltage, the stronger will be the resultant field. Magnetic fields are created when electric current flows: the greater the current, the stronger the magnetic field. An electric field will exist even when there is no current flowing. If current does flow, the strength of the magnetic field will vary with power consumption but the electric field strength will be constant.

Please note, the study below and the site below selling products to block EMF exposure is discussing
only home electronics and cell phone EMF exposure. I could not
find anything in relation to power line EMF exposure related to fibromyalgia.
A woman asked at our last meeting if EMFs could cause an increase in fibromyalgia pain.
This link brings you to a study I found in this regard:
I also found numerous sites selling products to shield you from EMFs in relation to fibromyalgia and other disorders felt related to EMF exposure: http://www.earthcalm.com/pages/main.php
